Blog2

Fall is just the best! The weather cools down, the trees turn gorgeous colors and it’s time for all kinds of fun family activities that you can do with the kids! It’s so much fun to celebrate the new season and it’s time to start thinking about all of the Halloween and Thanksgiving fun that will be here before we know it!

This great fall bucket list over at PlayPartyPin.com is a great way to remember all that your family needs to accomplish this fall! There are always so many fun activities that families can do over the fall season and this is the perfect way to make sure you get it all done! And… it’s a great decoration for the home, too!

Wondering how you can make your own? Here are the supplies you’ll need.

  • Sizzix Big Kick Machine (or use pre-cut gift tags you can get in craft stores)
  • Sizzix Bigz Die – Tags #2
  • Different fall colored paper
  • Pens
  • Baking twine

Once you have all of your supplies, follow these great DIY instructions that were found over at PlayPartyPin.com:

Step 1 – Figure out what to do this fall and write down your fall bucket list!

This is a great activity to do as a family night around the table! Have everyone think about all of the fun things they want to do this fall and the whole family will get a say in the fun things to come over the next 4-6 weeks! Think about things like picking pumpkins, baking apple pies, making applesauce, decorating the house, or taking a fun hay ride!

Step 2 – Cut out gift tags using your Sizzix, or use the pre-cut tags you buy at a craft store!

If you have a Sizzix, now is your chance to make some awesome tags! What a great DIY project and the kids will love to help!

Get about 30 tags prepared in the fall colors you’d like to use and you’ll be all set! If you want to give your garland a uniform feel, have the same amount of tags in each color you’ll be using.

Step 3 – Write down your bucket list items on the tags!

Pick out whoever has the best penmanship and get busy! Or… let everyone have an equal chance of adding in their favorite fall activities to the garland. You choose what works best for your family.

Step 4 – String the Garland on Baking Twine!

Make sure all of the bucket list items are facing the same direction and the tags are all strung evenly!

Now you can decide where you want to hang it. It looks great over a fireplace, but will work anywhere in your home that you feel it belongs best. You’re going to have a whole list of great activities to do with the family over the next few weeks. Nobody can use the excuse they are bored anytime soon!

PlayPartyPin.com had a GREAT idea for what to do with the tags as you accomplish your bucket list. She is going to write down the date and exactly what her family did on the back and than when the fall is over, she plans to put them in a scrapbook and use it as a journal for what their fall adventures entailed. How fun!

Happy fall!
